Open the TEGW platform
Use the official TEGW website in your current browser. Enter the address directly or use your approved bookmark.
This hub separates the shared login process from the work that is unique to each role. First confirm access. Then open only the role guide assigned to your account by the administrator.
Content moves through these stages, but each user normally works only in the role assigned to their own account.
You do not need to study every role. After login, use only the guide that matches the role shown on your account.
Your role is set by the administrator. Buttons, projects, and workflow status can differ by account. Do not use a control that is not shown in your own TEGW screen.
This is the same starting procedure for Translators, Editors, Reviewers, Approvers, and SOP Coordinators.
Do not send a password, verification code, or private login detail to another person for support.
Use the official TEGW website in your current browser. Enter the address directly or use your approved bookmark.
Choose the Login button on the TEGW home page. Wait for the sign-in screen to load completely before entering information.
Enter your registered username or email and password. Use only the credentials issued or approved for your account.
After login, you may see the Translation Projects dashboard or a role-specific workspace. What appears depends on your role and account authorization.
Use the on-screen stage counts and Segment Tracker to identify work that needs checking again.
Counts show how many segments have reached each workflow stage. Returned or rejected items require attention by the earlier workflow stage shown on the screen.
Auto-Translated, Translated, Edited, and Reviewed show progress through the workflow.
Editor Rejected, Review Rejected, Translation Rejected, or Retranslation Required mean work needs inspection.
Use the tracker to locate the exact returned segment and verify the current workflow state.
Open the assigned book and chapter. Use the progress or status summary shown in the chapter interface to see counts for Auto-Translated, Translated, Edited, Reviewed, and any rejected or retranslation-required items.
Check for a notification in the platform bell when this feature is active for your account, but use the actual chapter status as confirmation. A new or increased rejected count, a status such as Translation Rejected, Editor Rejected, or Review Rejected, or a visible return message means the chapter needs checking again.
Select the Segment Tracker control in the chapter interface. Use the workflow labels and markers to identify the returned segment, its current stage, and any available feedback. Check the specific paragraph before editing anything.
Recheck the English source, correct the indicated segment, and preserve any required formatting and Bible references. Do not redo the entire chapter unless the feedback or workflow instruction clearly requires it. Save and use the applicable UNLOCK and DONE controls so the work moves forward again.
Open Segment Tracker when a rejected count increases, a later-stage count drops unexpectedly, or a segment remains at the same stage longer than expected. If the on-screen status conflicts with the actual content, pause and report the data-integrity concern instead of trying to force the workflow forward.
Translate accurately and naturally from the English source into the assigned target language.
On the Translation Projects page, locate the assigned book and select Translate. Do not begin in another user’s account or in a project not shown for your role.
Check the book title, language, and chapter shown at the top of the screen. Use NEXT or PREVIOUS only after confirming you are in the intended chapter.
Read the English source first, then use the available segment control to enter or update the target-language text paragraph by paragraph or sentence by sentence. Preserve meaning, paragraph structure, Bible references, and required formatting.
Use the platform’s Bible-reference tool for Scripture references and preserve meaningful formatting from the source. Follow your language team’s approved Bible version and style guidance.
Re-read the translated portion. Check for accidental omissions, incomplete sentences, copied English text, broken references, or incorrect formatting.
Use the saving and workflow controls shown in your screen. Where applicable, confirm the work is saved, use UNLOCK, then use DONE so the Editor can proceed.
Improve the translation while preserving faithfulness to the English source and the team’s terminology.
From your assigned project, select the available chapter or edit action. Confirm the book title, language, chapter number, and on-screen workflow label before changing text.
Use the control shown for the target segment, then compare the English source with the target text before editing. Identify meaning shifts, omissions, ambiguity, or language that is unclear in the target language.
Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, sentence flow, and wording that does not faithfully express the source. Restructure a paragraph only when needed for clarity or accurate meaning.
Confirm terminology, Bible references, names, headings, punctuation style, and formatting are consistent with the rest of the chapter and the language team’s established decisions.
Use the documented save and workflow controls visible in your screen. Where applicable, confirm the text is saved, use UNLOCK, then use DONE so the Reviewer can proceed.
Perform final validation before content is presented for approval.
From your assigned project, open the available chapter and confirm the book, language, chapter, and review-stage label before beginning the final check.
Review the whole chapter, not only individual marked paragraphs. Check accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, punctuation, Bible references, and formatting.
Use the available Edit or Update Translation control to fix small errors when this is appropriate within your workflow. Do not perform unnecessary heavy rewriting during final review.
Use Return for minor correction and Reject when the chapter needs meaningful rework. Give short, precise feedback that explains what must be corrected and where.
When the chapter is ready, use only the completion or handoff controls shown in your role screen. Confirm the status changes correctly for the Approver.
Give final authorization only after the editing and review stages are complete.
From your assigned project, open the available chapter. Confirm the book, language, chapter, and approval-stage status before using any final action.
Use the status summary available in the chapter interface to check that the Translator, Editor, and Reviewer stages have been completed as required. Do not approve simply because a chapter appears complete on screen.
Review any prior return, reject, or correction history available in the platform. Confirm the chapter meets the language team’s expected quality standard.
Select Approve only when the chapter is ready for final release. If requirements are not met, return the work through the available workflow action with a clear reason.
Coordinate the team’s project follow-up, workflow visibility, training needs, and authorized escalation.
After shared login, open the TEGW view or administrative workspace authorized for your SOP Coordinator account. Your available controls may differ by organizational level and authorization.
Check project progress, chapter status, rejected counts, and workflow bottlenecks using the views available to you. A later-stage count lower than an earlier-stage count can be normal; open the chapter and Segment Tracker before drawing a conclusion.
Verify that the relevant Translator, Editor, Reviewer, and Approver are participating as expected. Record missing roles, stalled handoffs, or unclear workflow status for follow-up.
Use the agreed communication channel to clarify next steps, schedule training where needed, and follow up on inactive or blocked work. Keep messages factual, respectful, and focused on the next action.
For missing projects after verification, role or assignment changes, persistent syncing, loading failures, or missing/duplicated/overwritten content, prepare a factual case note and escalate through the authorized technical channel.
Offline work is useful, but the chapter may be unavailable to other team members until it is returned.
Offline content is temporarily stored in the browser cache. Do not clear browser data or change devices before return is confirmed.
Use Download from the project page and select only the planned chapter(s). The platform may allow offline work for up to ten chapters at a time.
Keep the browser data intact while offline work is active. Another user may not be able to access the same downloaded chapter.
When online again, open Download for the project, find the completed chapter, and select Return. Wait until the system confirms the return.
These tools can help with new content, but can overwrite existing translation work.
Use it only for new content or when full replacement is intentional and authorized.
Before selecting Auto-Translate or Re-Translate, inspect the target language area and confirm whether the paragraph or chapter contains previous human work.
When replacement is intentional, prefer the smallest scope that matches the task: paragraph, then chapter. Whole-book processing can take a long time and should not be used casually.
AI-generated text requires human editing, review, and approval. Compare it with the English source, correct language quality, check Bible references, and use the normal workflow for the next role.
Protect the chapter first. Collect only the details needed before changing settings or trying a workaround.
Especially for offline, sync, missing, duplicate, altered, or overwritten content.
Login/access, missing project, role/workflow, loading, offline/sync, AI/overwrite, formatting, browser/device, or network.
Role, language, book and chapter, action just before the issue, exact message, device/browser, online/offline state, and whether another device was used.
Take a screenshot showing the issue. Do not capture passwords, verification codes, or private login information.
Escalate missing, overwritten, duplicate, misplaced, or uncertain-sync content; persistent loading; assignment problems; and backend/role requests.
Do not clear browser data, change devices, download again, refresh aggressively, or redo the work until it is confirmed that the original work has been returned or safely synchronized.
Find a safe first response for the most common TEGW access, workflow, browser, offline-sync, and translation-tool questions.
The browser may be displaying an old cached version of the page, or the platform did not load fully during the first attempt.
The dashboard or translation page should load normally and show your assigned books or chapter content.
The book may not yet be assigned to the current account, the user may be signed in with a different account, or the role assignment may require checking by an authorised administrator.
Once the assignment is corrected, the required book should appear on the dashboard under the correct account and role.
The chapter may be locked, waiting for the previous workflow stage, assigned to another role, or restricted by the current user permission.
The correct action button should appear only when the chapter is available for your assigned role and stage in the workflow.
The chapter may not yet have completed the required UNLOCK and DONE process, the browser may be showing an earlier version, or the platform may need technical review for a sync or data issue.
The latest saved wording and correct workflow status should become visible to the next assigned role.
Offline chapters are stored temporarily in the browser cache. A failed Return action, unstable connection, or changed browser/device can place the unsynchronised content at risk.
Do not clear browser data, use a different browser, change devices, remove the downloaded chapter, or re-create the translation before the Return result is confirmed.
Auto-Translate or Re-Translate can replace existing content when it is applied to a paragraph, chapter, or book that already contains work.
Use Auto-Translate only for new paragraphs or new chapters unless replacement is intentional. Review all AI-generated wording before moving it to the next workflow stage.
Available actions can depend on the assigned role, chapter status, permissions, and the current implementation of the workflow.
Reviewers normally focus on final checking. Minor issues may be returned for correction, while major rework may need a reject or escalation action according to the approved workflow.
The notification may be delayed, unavailable for a particular workflow action, or not visible until the user checks the platform notification area or opens the relevant chapter.
The chapter should show the correct workflow state even if a notification did not arrive as expected.
A formatting tool may have been applied incorrectly, the copied content may include extra styling, or the selected Bible version may not match the team’s expected reference source.
The translated paragraph should remain readable, consistent with source intent, and aligned with the translation team’s approved conventions.
Online work may need a refresh or workflow check. Offline work can be stored in the original browser cache, so it may not appear when opening the platform from a different device or browser.
Do not clear browser data, remove downloads, reset content, or begin retyping the chapter until the location and status of the original work are confirmed.
Try another word such as “offline”, “book”, “reviewer”, “Chrome”, or “Auto-Translate”.
Include your role, language, book title, chapter, device, browser, online/offline status, exact action before the issue, and screenshot.
